Lilongwe, 20 November 2015: Blantyre Hip Hop duo Home Grown African (HGA) kick starts the festive season with the release of new music as early as December 4, 2015.

In an exclusive interview with this publication, HGA management, Talumba Chirwa confirmed the development, disclosing the title of the new song to be dropped is called “Nobody”

Interestingly “Nobody” is not taken off the Blantyre Blues EP as earlier announced by the duo.

According to Chirwa the song is nothing like the public has ever heard from the duo before.

“The single is a bit of a delightful surprise sonically, something people were not expecting, I am quite confident we will maintain our reputation for surprising fans and people not being able to guess what we are coming up with next,” Chirwa said.

He added: “What I can say is that, this single out of all our singles has great importance at this stage of our careers as Home Grown African, It is a fresh take on Home Grown African music.”

HGA has not released new music since March this year. Nevertheless, rumour has it that the guys have been experimenting with their sounds

“We were in need of new music since our last offering in March and now we have developed three different sounds; two of which you will hear this December”

These are clear indications further reinforcing faith that the Blantyre Blues EP will be out before the year clocks out.

Chirwa revealed to this publication that the tape is going to be an “Iconic Malawian piece of art”

“The EP is a tribute. We love it, but experiments are a 50/50 so we are also waiting to see how the fans and public respond, both to the single and to the EP which in my view is going to be an iconic Malawian piece of art,” Chirwa said.

He acknowledged the group has taken time to feed the fans with new music but promised fireworks.

“It has been a long wait but we appreciate the patience and Santa Clause is going to be depositing some dope music in your urban music socks this December so hold on just a few more weeks”

“HGA is definitely going to end this year on a strong note, I can’t wait for 2016 when we debut additional material,” Chirwa outlined.

HGA, this year received rare co-sign from legendary Hip Hop DJ Kenny Klips and Maestro producer Dominant One among others who acknowledge the duo as the best rappers to ever grace the microphone in this generation.
