As moral decadence among youth of this generation continues to deteriorate, a group of fellow youths have come up with a new clean way to have fun.
Qlub Konnect, set to be launched on Friday, October 9, 2015 is being described as “a safe and secure hangout spot for the youth”, clubbing experience without the negatives that come with it.
Nicole Kamwendo, Capital FM presenter and one of the organisers/co-host of the launch explained: “Basically it is a new clubbing concept that is being backed by Mavuno Church.”
“We are aiming at providing a new clean way to have fun. By this we mean no alcohol, no lewd behaviour, some place where parents won’t mind hearing that their children are going,” said Kamwendo
The way it is set up; the first 2 hours will be for performances by singers, poets and dancers. Renowned Ndefeyo artist, Bucci and his Floor Steppers crew will entertain the audience and also billed to perform is Patience Namadingo and Sharon.
Ideally Qlub Konnect will run from 6pm till 11pm with exception of audience request to consider lengthening the time.
On food and transportation Nicole said arrangements have been made with Steers and taxi drivers at a reasonable fee.
Kamwendo further cleared out the misconception that people might have pertaining their connection with Mavuno Church saying: “I must stress, though it is being backed by a church, it is not a “gospel” club as many people assume.”
The launch will take place at Upstairs, Peoples Building, Victoria Avenue in Blantyre and it is for free.
