Lake of Stars has announced that South African Music Awards (SAMAs) winner Toya Delazy will perform at this year’s festival scheduled from 25 to 27 September on the shores of Lake Malawi at the stunning Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi.
According to a Lake of Stars facebook statement, Toya will be joined by a genre-hopping lineup of the hottest talent from Malawi and beyond.
“With a growing programme including Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers, Nigeria’s Ric Hassani of ‘Dance Dance Baby Dance’ fame, Congolese slam artist Menes, and Malawi’s own Gwamba, Dan Lu, Agorosso, Lulu, Danny Kalima, Bucci, George Kalukusha, and many more to be announced,” reads the statement in part.
Further, The organizers have stressed that this year’s festival is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
Toya came into the global spotlight with her massive hit ‘Pump It On’ in 2011, and has been wowing audiences with her catchy tunes and stunning live shows ever since.
Meanwhile, K22,000 tickets for three days of music, dance, poetry, art, cinema, sport, science, and more are currently on sale.
